Plut2-27 pre-alpha notes 7/21/01 hey Sam, I think this map is about 50% complete. Currently everything is texture aligned and there's no new vpo's which is a nice surprise. I took your suggestion about the imps in lieu of chaingunners in the start room, only were changed over so far-after playtesting we'll see if the rest get changed. not much else to say really. 7/09/01 okay sam, Fixed the vpo i mentioned in the e-mail and discovered a new one-yeah! both are gone and some texture aligning has taken place(not out doors yet) Also added some ammo after playtesting and did some more work to the outdoor area--it's becoming impressive. Previously Okay, this is what I have so far. I'm starting to like the flow of it and I can finally envision where i'm going with this. The player start is currently wrong, but you can see where it belongs. What's next? Glad you asked: As the p;layer tries to head to the door to the right the floor collapses and sends him to a cavern system. The cave system is pretty much done, a general textrue alignment is needed there and throughout the map more than likely. i've started the first tentative steps of the outdoor area-- most of which I don't like at this time and will be tweaked/changed/etc. This will connect to the outdoor area and the tower leads to the final cavern area, where the player gets teleported back to the yellow key door--inside is the exit. Well that's the theory anyways. Hope you like it.
