FLAME17.DEH DeHackEd Patch
==========================

This is the newest and best FLAMING patch by Dalias (as of 4/14/95).
It includes all new weapons, perfect for hours of DeathMatch, with
a perfect set of original graphics and sounds by the author!
(Note: this patch built with DeHacked 2.3 and DeuTex 3.5)

This patch can cause DOOM II to run slow on some computers.
I have tried to make all weapons fair for DeathMatch play.
The chaingun and pistol are sort of cheap. This is because
of the way DeHackEd works. They cannot be made very powerful.
Also, infinite ammo is not built in (some people don't like
to use it in DeathMatch), by it can be easily added with
the included batch file (described below).

I have included a batch file (DEH.BAT) to load this patch. The
syntax is very simple:

DEH [<dehfile> <dehfile>...] [a] [i] [f] [r] [3]

<dehfile>The name of the patch file, FLAME17
(You can but are not required
to type the .DEH extension)
a (or A)Adds INFINITE AMMO VERSION 2.0!
(Optional - does NOT modify patch file)
i (or I)Adds INFINITE AMMO!
(Optional - does NOT modify patch file)
f (or F)Speeds up all weapons
(Optional - slows down ALMOST ALL computers)
r (or R)Random Weapons
(Optional - does NOT modify patch file)
3Adds INFINITE AMMO VERSION 3.0!
(Optional - does NOT modify patch file)

NOTE:The I, F, R, and 3 options are not included with this patch.
If you would like to use them, download DEHUTIL.ZIP.
Only the A option is included (to save you download time).

For example type DEH FLAME17 to load the patch normally. If
you want infinite ammunition, type DEH FLAME17 A. Note that
this batch file can be used to load (and give unlimited ammo to)
any patch, not just mine.

After loading the patch, type DOOM2 -FILE FLAME17.WAD to run DOOM II
with my custom graphics. THE PATCH WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT FLAME17.WAD!

By the way, you'll need DEHACKED 2.3 or later (available on the
CompuServe ACTION Games forum) to use the batch file.

For those of you who don't know where to put the patch files
(FLAME17.DEH, INFIAMO2.DEH), they go in the PATCHES subdirectory
of you DOOM2 directory. Create it if it doesn't exist. The batch
file (DEH.BAT) sould be put in the DOOM2 directory, along
with the FLAME17.WAD file.

Comments would be appreciated. If I get good suggestions, I'll
make some more patches.
