We also believe that it is a waste of time building a huge level when all the action will take place in this room. We created this level from E2M8 in the normal Doom game, but soon found that it was just too big to deathmatch in, so it shrank to it's present size. Two other wad files greatly affected the construction of the level, namely zzone.wad and mine1.wad (If you hadn't noticed already). We just like the idea of a lot of ammo, small fighting areas, and a lot of quick kills. You will quickly notice that it is virtually impossible to navigate the spiral staircase up to the BFG while running. To get the Plasma Rifle, we decided that it would be more challenging to have only one shot at the door per run up the stairs, as well as a "catwalk" at the same height as the top of the stairs for some exciting pick-off shooting. But we're not going to spoil all the fun for you. Heck, we made the level and we still play it for hours on end!
