Blockade Runner & The Death Star
Blockade Runner & The Death Star
STAR WARS DOOM!!! Based on blueprints of sets built for the movie and as well as information contained in the SW RPG. These are four of many Star Wars levels I am hoping to do, and I have replaced some of these levels' textures with my own. I will be replacing MANY more of these in the next edition. Any switches found in turbolifts are endlevel switches. Doors needing keys aren't marked by colors primarily because I wanted the levels to look as much like the movies as possible.
E1M1, E1M2, E1M3, E1M4

Additional Credits to : The guys at ID Lucasfilm LTD West End Games Makers of DEU, BSP, RMB, DMGRAPH, & stars.gif Note:This is Starwar 4, with a new install done by Olivier Montanuy, valid for DOS, Linux and OS/2 This install uses DeuSF. Why that? because it won't affect DOOM.WAD and will reduce the mess in your directory. DO NOT DISTRIBUTE THE FILES ONCE INSTALLED type deusf -restore starwar5.wad first ======================================================================= LEVEL ONE: PRINCESS LEIA'S BLOCKADE RUNNER DECKS 1 & 2 Your ship has been boarded and captured by Imperial forces. You are the only Rebel left who hasn't been killed or taken prisoner. It's up to you to set the ship's self destruct system and escape, but first you must make your way to the lower decks of the ship. The turbolifts will take you between the two decks. I took the general layout of the ship from the RPG Rebel Alliance Sourcebook. LEVEL TWO: PRINCESS LEIA'S BLOCKADE RUNNER DECKS 3 & 4 You must enter the engine's accessways and activate the blockade runner's auto-destruct sequence. Having done this, you must now escape the ship before it blows by using one of the escape pods. As before, I used the RPG Sourcebook for the general layout of these decks LEVEL THREE: DEATH STAR CHASM AND TECHNICAL STATIONS You have to make your way to the turbolifts to reach the detention level. The only problem is there are tons of Imperials all about you! Included in this level is the chasm Luke and Leia swang across, the elevators Luke, Han, and Chewie entered on their way to the detention level, as well as the large corridor with the blast doors. The blueprints covered 1/6 of the level, so I had to make up the rest. I'm sorry I haven't done any new textures for the Death Star levels yet, I will be working on them before I create any more levels. LEVEL FOUR: DEATH STAR DETENTION LEVEL AND SECURITY STATION You force your way into the detention level, but if things get a little too rough, you can escape into the trash compactor. In the course of things, you raid a security station (from the RPG). I copied some of the sections for deathmatch reasons. HINT: follow Leia's technique on getting to the trash compactor HINT: there is a secret switch that reveals the switch to open the compactor door ======================================================================== * Play Information * Episode and Level # : E1M1-4 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes (not tested) Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes (not tested) Difficulty Settings : Yes New Graphics : Some wall and ceiling textures & see below New Sounds : None - see below New Music : None - see below Demos Replaced : None * Additional Files You May Want * These files are all available at infant2.sphs.indiana.edu under /pub/doom/themes/starwars: SWMUSFX4.ZIP : Star Wars music and sound effects patch SWGFXMO2.ZIP (swgfx4) : Star Wars graphics patch changes: - seargants to stormtroopers - lost souls to interrogation droids - cacodemons to probe droids - barons of hell to emperor's guards - cyberdemons to scout walkers - chainsaw to lightsaber - rockets to laser bolts - barrels to R2D2s * Construction * Base : E1M1 - New level from scratch E1M2 - New level from scratch E1M3 - Modified STARWAR2.WAD E1M4 - Modified STARWAR2.WAD Editor(s) used : DEU 5.2 GCC; BSP12x; RMB 2.0; DMGRAPH Known Bugs : DO NOT SAVEGAME IN LEVELS 2 & 4!
