The text-files for the individual maps are included in the zip. =========================================================================== CALLISTO ANOMALY: the story and how-to file This is a new series of .WAD files for DOOM, v1.2 or higher. The individual levels are introduced separately. The time is five years after the events in DOOM. Your work in eliminating the hell spawn on Deimos, Phobos and in an unspecified locale that you believed to be Hell itself, as well as the events that unfolded on your return to earth, have won you promotion. From the position of a lowly grunt, you have become a colonel in the Special UAC Corps. A program of thorough exploration of the moons of the outer planets has been underway for some time, as more than one scientist believes that the alien race that left the space anomalies on Deimos and Phobos may have also been there. On Callisto, the search is rewarded. UAC mounts a guard on the anomaly with ultra-heavy weapons, to prevent any recurrence of the events of five years before. The anomaly seems to be in quiet mode, with no sign of any arrival of the hell-spawn. The, literally out of the blue, one day the familiar green and yellow flashes announce the arrival of something from the anomaly...it turns out to be two very dazed, and very dirty, human figures. They cannot communicate with your men, and it is a while until the history programs in the base computer recognise their speech as 10th century Saxon, and on its questioning them, they tell of how they found a shining globe in the field as they made their way to the plough early one winters morning. As soon as they approached it, the transporter functioned, and they found themselves on Callisto, inside the base. Clearly, this anomaly warps time as well as space and inter-dimensional pathways. The powers that be in UAC decide to investigate it, and in view of your unrivalled service record against the hell-spawn, they ask you to go, and they're paying well. You cannot take heavy weapons into the past, for fear of altering history with their effects, but you smuggle your service pistol and basic armor along...and in the end, its just as well... Use callisto.bat to launch these .WADs.
