Author Info : Plays 3 and 4 player modem games a lot with jserve.. Wishes he had a real network. Is really frustrated with hexen and the only editor I've found for it, as you can't use scripts yet, so that means no doors, lifts, etc. At least I found a hexen node builder. I wonder if I'm the only person who has made two hexen wads before hexen was even released.. Other then the game developers of course.. Additional Credits to : Antony Burton for the Hexen editor, Marc Rousseau for making Zennode support Hexen. James Dement for making Jserve, the only way I know of to play 3 or 4 player modem games without game servers. It even works with Hexen! Raven for making Hexen, and for really improving over heretic, even if level editing is annoying. Id for making DOOM, and for hopefully comming out with Quake soon. ================================================================ * Play Information * Level # : Map 1 Single Player : No... Since hexen doesn't use DOOM's "multiplayer bit" many items and things can't be seen in single player, and there is nothing I can do about it. Cooperative 2-4 Player : No, no starts. Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes! I made this level to have a fast paced deathmatch in Hexen... The original levels are too big for 2 players. Difficulty Settings : Well, whenever I tried to change these the item would not show up, so I just left them. I tested it on skill 4/5 though, so you should use that. New demos : Hexen doesn't support multiplayer demos, at least in the beta, and a single player demo would be boring. New Sounds : No. New Music : No. New Graphics : No. * Construction * Base : DOOM ][ Map 01, but I had to re-make the entire thing since the structure of the wad is different. Although the wad is based on this, I did add some neat things only possible with hexen. I made a spiral staircase, with one floor over the other, using little sparkly things... at the top you jump to get a maulotaur icon, but if you mess up you fall down a really deep hole, and get splattered all over the bottom. Build Time : 1 1/2 days.. started afternoon of Oct. 26, finished 4:30 am Oct 28. Editor(s) used : Heth beta. It came with DETH 2.666. Good editor, except you can't use scripts yet. Used Zennode .95 for the nodes. Known Bugs : The sky looks messed up in some areas, since Hexen's sky testure is shorter than DOOM's. I could fix it, but It looks wrong without the sky. * Copyright / Permissions * You may do whatever you want with this file, as long as you give me credit in anything you distribute based on it. I would like you to let me know too, but you don't have too. You MAY distribute this WAD to any BBS or online service, provided you include this file, with no modifications. You may mass distribute this WAD in any *other* electronic format (Diskette, CD, etc) *only* with my approval.
