* Play Information *

DOOM Engine: DOOM2 1.666 and above.
Map number: MAP13,14,15,16
Start-up Instructions: Use SERSETUP specifying the appropriate parms
  to initiate DOOM2 deathmatch play. For example:
  sersetup -file 4pack.wad -skill 4 -warp 13
   -deathmatch -altdeath -com2 -dial 555-xxxx

  For single player use:
  doom2 -file 4pack.wad -skill 4 -warp 13

Single Player: Yes, but no monsters.  You can always shoot
  barrels.  Use this mode to familiarize yourself
  with the levels before engaging in deathmatch
  play.
Cooperative 2-4 Player: Yes, but not much to do.
Deathmatch 2-4 Player: Yes.
Difficulty Settings: Yes.
  Map 13 - Skill 1 - chainsaw/shotgun/chaingun only.
  Map 13 - Skill 4 - all weapons
  Map 14,15,16 - Any skill level - all weapons
New Sounds: PLASMA gun only.

* Construction *

Base  MAP13 : New level from scratch; completed March 1995.
  MAP14 : Add on/modified version of FRAGMAN.WAD originally
  built by Robert T. Marentette for DOOM.  Converted
  to DOOM2 and added an armory and new features to
  keep it somewhat consistent with the style of
  maps 13, 15, and 16.
  MAP15 : New level from scratch; completed November 1994.
  Map 15 is also distributed on CIS as DMSEEK.WAD.
  MAP16 : New level from scratch; completed January 1995.

Known Bugs: None known.  These levels have been play tested
  in actual deathmatch play via modem using
  DOOM2 1.7a and 1.9.  Network play has
  been tested, but only with three players.

* Special Notes *

1).  A special armory area is provided where one can stock up on all
     ammo and other supplies in quantity.  The weapons on top of the
     pedestal in the center of the armory cannot be reached by any
     normal method during the course of game play.  There is a deathmatch
     starting point in that location for specifically for that purpose
     and is designed to be a "special treat".

     The armory area is a standard feature of each level and is denoted
     by a common entrance door texture that is used nowhere else in the
     levels.

2).  These levels provide an exit room (denoted by the standard DOOM type
     exit door texture).  This allows players to view their final
     FRAG statistics at the end of the level.  In all levels except
     MAP14, the exit room is located off the room containing the
     teleporter-to-the-armory.

3).  Due to the complexity of the "view" across the play area from
     certain windows/perches, the game can be a bit sluggish if you are
     limited to a 9600 bps connection.In this instance, adding the
     parameter  -turbo 125   to the SERSETUP line is recommended.
     This is not necessary at speeds above 9600 bps or on a network.

4).  Map 13 was initially designed with shotgun duels in mind; this is
     the only level with a skill level choice limiting weapons.  However,
     the way the levels are laid out, you may play skill 1 to have
     shotgun duels in map 13, then still have all weapons on the
     subsequent levels.  Or, just play skill 4 on all levels and have
     all of the weapons all of the time.

Authors may NOT use these levels as a base to build additional
levels.  The original source of MAP14 (FRAGMAN.WAD for DOOM) may be
modified as provided by the author, Mr. Marentette, as he has declared
FRAGMAN.WAD open to modification in the corresponding FRAGMAN.TXT
document.

You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with
no modifications.  You may distribute this file in any electronic
format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file
intact.
