"NUCWASTE.WAD" is a three-level DOOM II wad designed 
exclusively for single player.  It was made for the standard 
engine.  The theme is "nukage" or "poison," the radioactive 
slime familiar to all Doomers.

Level One is a nuclear power plant, the source of the slime 
processed and barrelled in the following levels.  Play begins 
with a pistol, against the easiest monsters--but ammo is in 
short supply.  Shoot well and dodge deftly, friend, or risk 
dying in a fist fight.  The difficulty level escalates quickly 
as you make your way from Cooling Tower Control toward the 
customer entrance, which is your exit.  The music is /Lost/, 

Level Two takes you outside, and starts with a bang.  You can 
run and and you can hide.  Or you can die, makes no difference 
to me.  You will discover that the power plant has developed 
some serious problems--major leakage from the third tower.  
Somebody's gonna have to clean it up.

This is a two-part level--two levels in one, really.  It is 
possible to return to the first area from the second, but not 
very practical in most cases.  Some resources are hidden from 
plain view.  It pays to hunt around a little.  This level 
makes the most use of my new textures.  The music is /Acid 
Rock/, "acidrk12.mus".

Level Three is a major upgrade of my acidplnt.wad.  The 
setting is a processing plant for nuclear waste, the flow of 
which can be traced throughout the wad until it is finally 
neutralized in a giant machine and barrelled up for shipping.  
Of course, there are a several denizens of Hell that will not 
be happy about your inspection of the premises.  One of them 
happens to be rather large, especially ill-tempered, a quite 
a good shot.

This is a very large level, with an average play time of over 
30 minutes.  Save often!  There are a couple of fairly hard 
puzzles that must be solved to complete the level.  There are 
at least two places where you can be trapped in acid with no 
escape.  The extreme complexity of this map allows it to play 
out in many different ways for high replay value.  The music 
is /Nuclear Waste/, "nucler.19.mus".
