OUT OF PHASE II
OUT OF PHASE II
Sequel to "Out of Phase" - two maps done in the same style! These were based loosely on two of my Speedmaps, but even if you've played those before, you'll notice that a lot has been changed - these are not the same maps! Like in my first "Out of Phase", these maps also use the _METAL1_ doors, and the dark corridors with bright lights at the intersection :) A New Year Release!

Additional Credits to : * My brother Varun for playtesting and useful feedback. * Damian Lee for very useful information about making images with the Doom Palette - I couldn't have made the new graphics without that! * To everyone who has given me feedback on my first "Out of Phase" level. * Doug "Opulent" Merrill, Albert Valls, Metabolist, Joe Pallai and Varun for recording demos of the first "Ophase". * Doomworld, for organising Speedmapping - these two levels have some parts from some speedmaps I made. * NewDoom.com for hosting me! * Doom Center and The 9th Gate team for inspiration and support. * The authors of all tools used to make these levels (see below). =========================================================================== * Type of DOOM or DOOM II file* New level WAD : Yes * Play Information * Episode and Level # : MAP01, MAP02 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : 4 Player Starts included, but not tested. Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes (see below) Difficulty Settings : Yes (see below) New Sounds : No New Music : Yes (see below) New Graphics : Yes (see below) Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : Parts of the levels have been taken from two speedmaps I made. But a lot has been changed. Build Time : About 3-4 days overall Editor(s) used : DoomCAD 6.1 by Matt Tagliaferri BSP 5.0 by Colin Phipps Wintex 4.3 by Olivier Montanuy XWE by Csabo Paint Shop Pro 6.0 by Jasc Software Known Bugs : No playability bugs. Maybe a few texture misalignments, but nothing serious. May Not Run With... : Two plain vanilla Doom II levels - Will work with anything :) * Additional Information * Gameplay Info : Skill 1 is very easy, Skill 3 is action packed, and Skill 4 is harder than the first "Out of Phase". Gameplay is less linear this time - there are interconnected passageways so you can experiment with different ways of playing these levels. There are 8 DM starts in each level. Some more weapons and items have been added for that. But I tested it without the extras in Skulltag. Anyway, I think Deathmatch should be fun in these levels, especially MAP02. Graphics Info : All these new graphics were made by me... * New titlepic * New credit screen * New status bar * New M_DOOM graphic, and * New sky! Music : Eiffel 65 music like in the first "Out of Phase"! Here's the list of the songs... * Title Music : Outhere Brothers "Boom Boom" * MAP01 : Eiffel 65 "Move Your Body" * MAP02 : Eiffel 65 "Another Race" * Intermission : US3 "Cantaloop" Tools : DoomCAD 6.1 was used to make both levels, BSP 5.0 to build nodes, WinTex 4.3 for putting all the stuff in the WAD, XWE for cleaning up the WAD and making a 1.03 MB WAD into a little over 400 KB :), Paint Shop Pro 6.0 for making all graphics. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels.
