Description
The Story so far... An escape pod from Mars arrived several weeks ago and was quaranteened at a distant outpost near Mongolia. Recently, all contact was lost. The last message spoke of the guards and going insane. You (and your team??) have been sent in to investigate and determine if there are any survivors. Outpost is an idea I had for awhile and although this is my first attempt at construction of a custom .wad, I think I've done a decent job. There's a few puzzles, some dead ends, and a definite pattern for weapon use.

                          Outpost is an idea I had for awhile and although

                          This is also a first in series of .wads.  Each 
                          in growing complexity.  My next effort, is to
                          construct a small mountaintop village, that becomes
                          infected by the trans-dimensional bugs due to it's
                          close proximity to the fortess.

Episode and Level #     : E2M1 
Single Player           : Yes
Cooperative 2-4 Player  : Yes (not tested, but should work)
Deathmatch 2-4 Player   : Yes (although it has not been tested, there's 
                          plenty of places to hide and ambush other players)
Difficulty Settings     : None - All monsters and items appear on all
                          settings.  It might take you serveral tries to
                          complete it.  It did me, and I designed the 
                          bloody thing!  Oh, btw, don't fall off the road
                          outside the Outpost, you'll problably drown.
New Sounds              : No

Demos Replaced          : None

* Construction *

Base                    : New level from scratch
Build Time              : Approximately, 50 hours (includes time to learn DEU) 
Editor(s) used          : Deu 5.1 and BSP 1.1 (great programs!!)
Known Bugs              : There are some Halls of Mirrors effects at some
                          points in the map.  BSP got rid of most of them
                          but the odd one crops up now and again.  Sorry.  
                          I have thouroughly play tested the level and as
                          far as I can tell, everything works.


* Copyright / Permissions *

Authors MAY use this level as a base to build additional
levels.  However, I'd like some credit in the accompaning text   
description.  You may find in editing this though that you won't
be able to add anymore rooms.  I found that DEU maxed out 2056 
linedefs and over 1400 vertices.  Should anyone attempt it and 
succeed, please let me know how you did it.

You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with
no modifications.  You may distribute this file in any electronic
format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this text file 
intact with the custom wad.   Although, you may accompany with any
demos of the level if you wish.  Heck, I'd like to see how others 
solve this one.

Also, should some kind soul post this WAD on some FTP sites, you
have my permission to modify the "Where to get this WAD" section of
this text file.
