It should look pretty okay. I'm not a good player, I playtested at UV with a modified version of PrBoom which divides all player damages by 8, and finished it with about the same effort as other good maps, so I think the difficulty level at UV should be okay, although in fact it may be wildly too easy or too difficult. Just try. Lower difficulty levels contain a little more health and ammo, and a small percentage of the monsters are removed (On UV there is an Arch Vile in a not-so-great place). They are not very much easier.
