'2secpatch' by cybershark 24/03/11 ZDS has a visit planned to the old community project which was the '2sector' challenge this weekend, and I wanted to make things better for it. 2sector was a fun bash where a hell of a lot of mappers threw stuff together in no-time-flat. Sadly, not everyone entirely got the point of it, and so some of the maps in it look like they didn't even require TWO sectors to make. The quality control on the compilation was a little off too, so there's not just crapmaps, but a couple of bugged ones too. One of those was my map31 ('Pyrotal') which was rushed in at the tail-end of the pack and then hastily updated with what I thought would be a REALLY FREAKING COOL feature. But sadly it just proved to desync really badly online. I think I've addressed that problem now :D (With thanks to Ader-tech™ for the lighting) The other was AK-01's map35 ('Deadline') which suffered in a couple of places. A minor issue was that all the sparklies that he spawned around the map did not work online. A more major issue was that the heights of some of the bridge things in the map had been copied over to the weapons. Not normally a problem, but he didn't realise we'd be dehacking those same items to not be affected by gravity x_x Wasn't such a great player, what with the guns all out of reach! That, and some other stuff are all fixed now too :D But what the hell, it was a fun thing to inspire and work on, and it was still WAD of the week over on DoomWorld 8> For copyright details then please refer to 2sector.txt.
