Author Info : Author of HELLSLEY.WAD for DOOM I. Check out the swimming pool and hanging cages! Description : This WAD was inspired by the BFG FAQ by Tony Fabris. It is a deathmatch WAD designed to help you exercise the deathmatch BFG techniques described therein. Everyone should read it for their safety and protection :). * Important * See Recommended settings below in the Play section. This WAD is a room with pillars. The BFG is the only obviously available weapon. Super shotguns and sniper points are accessible through 5 switches. Power-ups are guarded by monsters (and not those imp/demon fluffy ones). Through judicious use of RMB, the monsters will only attack when 1) they see someone getting a power-up or 2) they are awakened by a stray shot. They are nevertheless trapped until released by one of the 5 switches mentioned above. Seems complicated; its easy to play & more fun than it sounds. Cooperative 2-4 Player : No but it becomes this when you loose the Cyberdemon Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes - may be a little crowded for 4 players. Difficulty Settings : Yes NtMr, UV: all power-ups protected HMP: Megasphere only protected Sissy-poo modes: no monsters (ZZzzz) New Sounds : No New Graphics : No New Music : No Demos Replaced : None Recommended play settings: -altdeath (Deathmatch v2.0) -respawn (absolutely required) -skill 4 (Ultra Violence) -warp 2 (if you want to play this WAD at all) * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : DETH 2.65, BSP 1.2x RMB 2.1 Known Bugs : There are many thousands of insect species worldwide; I'm not going to list them all here. Notes: The .REJ file is included in the Zip to allow you to edit the WAD and restore monster behaviour. You need RMB (of course) but also make sure you use an editor that doesn't renumber sectors or you will need to rewrite the .REJ file. DEU and DETH leave sector numbers intact. I believe DCK and WADED renumber sectors (I haven't used either recently so I may be wrong - it's happened once before :D ). * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY use this level as a base to build additional levels; please apply appropriate credit.
