Description : This wad uses many "tricks" not specific to any port to create a tremendous 3d atmosphere including but not restricted to over/under bridge effect, room over room, and more. It is
compatible and will only work with Zdoom and Legacy as far as I can tell. It will NOT work with
GL ports or Vanilaa Doom2. The textures use were mostly taken from a texture wad released by
 Nick Baker originally slated for Episode 5 of the Nightmare Project but which apparently never got
 off the ground. The original file has been altered dramatically with a bunch of new custom
textures created by myself and Shitbag.
Additional Credits to : ...Nick Baker - who released his texture wad for public use (text file included from the original
zipped file).
      ....Shitbag who originally explained how to create a 3d bridge and make it functional. This
      techinque became instrumental in the design of the wad as almost every 3d effect I created
     is based on it in one way or another.
                                      ....Eric Buck for playtesting :-)
      ....Ace - for playtesting

                                     and here: http://www.doomwadstation.suhost.com/bloodworks/38.cab
         This is a winzip file and contains the version I used when building the level
                                      Legacy
                                      Will not work with any other ports or Vanilla Doom2
* Construction *

Base : New level from scratch
Build Time              : 2 months
Editor(s) used          : DETH
Known Bugs : While there don't appear to be any "bugs" in the level you may notice that you can sometimes
    get to things faster than they can move - such as the inivisble lines lowering to allow you to
    go under a bridge. This level has been EXTENSIVELY playtested using Zdoom (cab 38) and Legacy.
    Vanilla Doom2 will most likely crash. GL ports don't know how to render some of this stuff very well so they are
    basically useless.
 * Misc. Notes *

I put ALOT of time and thought into the level design, working out certain effects so that they would render properly
without giving the player HOM's or other weird stuff but I can't guarantee anything as far as that goes. I tried it with
EDGE - no go. Same with the GL ports. It is NOT specific to one engine - that is why there are no ZDOOM sloped floors or
other ZDOOM features because it is NOT a ZDOOM wad. As it turns out, Zdoom and Legacy were the only two engines
that could handle what I had done and render it properly.

You may NOT distribute this file without my prior consent. Unless you are 3darchives or one of their mirrors, DON'T ASK!
Authors may NOT use this file as a base for additional
levels. Build your own damn levels!
The textures used came from a file called nb5texd2.wad
I have modified that original texture wad with my own custom textures so don't take the textures from this wad.
If you want the original texture.wad you can find it here: http://haunt.8m.com/

* The Story
After a furious battle you have been knocked unconcious. Waking several hours later you find yourself in a dark tunnel with a dim light some distance from you. Bodies litter the floor in front of you. These were your friends and comrades. You check but none is alive save for you. Shaking the cobwebs from your head, you go forward, grabbing your handgun and trusty shotgun and any additional ammo left behind by your fallen buddies.
As you near the light you see a Cacodemon in the distance and you can tell from what you see that you are underground somewhere, and judging by the noise it appears that some machinery is going about its dark business just out of sight.
As you come out of the total darkness of the tunnel you are in you see that there is a bridge at your feet and another one above you and the floor is awash in blood and gore.
You've heard of this place but you always thought it was a rumor! How could something so ultimately evil exist, even in the bowels of Hell?
This is the Bloodworks! This is where the demons take their prey in order to drain their blood, chop them up and dispose of the remains. The odor is unbelievable. The stench of death permeates everything. You have to get out of this place but you will need to battle. The demons are not going to let you go easily. . . .
