Okay, real reason is you have to activate a linedef, and there weren't any to spare. Anyway, just keep moving and you'll be fine, and hey look there's a shiny blue thing up ahead! :-) But there's only a few "safe" spots you can hang around for long, and the demo LMP shows what happens to those who lollygag... This map has identical number of vertices, linedefs and things as the original E2M9. I ran out of linedefs, so couldn't mark the exit lift (it will only activate once you grab the red key).
