================================================================ Title : HARDCORE.WAD for Doom II Author : Predator and Rambo Email Address : <email removed> Web Page : WWW.ICANECT.NET/~GARYB/PAULB.HTM Misc. Author Info : Predator won the Combat Central March Doom Tournament. Me and Predator love playing DooM ][, this is our first serious attempt to make a good wad, hope you like. Description : HardCore.wad is a medium size level that is excellent for 2,3, or 4 players. The first wad was totally designed by us. We added some graphics and some sounds that are pretty cool. The other 3 levels are new wads by the ultimate wad designer "Dweller in the Cellar". I have not edited the 3 dweller levels in any way, except for the sounds, of course, but this should not effect gameplay. This wad has really cool lighting that we spent alot of time doing. We spent alot of time picking cool textures that are appropriate for the wad. Notes on Gameplay : On level 1 of Hardcore, there is a bfg and a plasma at the end of a long hallway of lava. On some bbs's, the use of the plasma rifle and the BFG is considered "cheap" so if you don't hafta use them if you don't want to. We tried to make it like dweller where the plasma and bfg are in hard places to get. The gameplay should be fastpaced and we tried to make it very "interlinked" so that action will occur often. Additional Credits: - Dweller in the Celler for making awesome deathmatch levels, 3 of which we used(Dweller2 levels 14, 15, and 16). We also tried to make our style of dmatch level kind of like his... - Pete Tomlinson for his awesome Greenday music wad (Greenmus.wad) of which we used 3 songs. - Tilt, the author of Super.wad, of which we used a couple of sounds. - Homer of Gaming Center BBS, for a few of his sounds from Homer2.wad. Additional Thanks : To my deathmatch buds: - Combat Central: Dr. Death (sysop), Dv8, Lonewolf Shiva, Demon, Bud man, Razor, Ren, Slice, Marine, Zuper The Maxx, The Unknown, Aslan, Havok, and Phantom. - Gaming Center: Crypt Keeper, Homer, Mr. X, Beef, Boss, Double Barrel, Revenant, Phantasm, Mad Hatter, Rat Cheese, Kat, Snarf, Uniblazer, Dr. Death (other one), Demise, and Death Angel. - The Playing Fields: Krowket, BadMF, MkRules, BkRules and Ska. - #Deathmatch (IRC): Toaster - ThunderDome: Deleos(Didn't forget ya!), Zombeast, Bubba B, Tiger, and Thor.
