WADs in idGames, DOOMSDAY
Large map with classic/demonic style that is NOT as linear as it may look like at first... but see for yourself :-)) The "history" of this map: - started building in january 2001 with DoomED 4.20 - built about 40 percent of map with this editor - learned to hate DoomEd 4.20 - forgot about this map for about 4 years - discovered Doom Builder - finished map with it Hope you like lots of inverted crosses and pentagrams ;-) Play at least on "hurt me plenty" as for easier difficulty settings are hardly a challenge... Features ALL available weapons from DOOM as well as a secret exit to E3M9. Map was tested with zdoom and jdoom but may run with other source ports as well. Will NOT run with vanilla DOOM (don´t know why, if you have any idea please drop me a mail!)
D-Gun Weapon Set 1.5
Anyway, a while back, I downloaded the original D-Gun Weapon set, and I thought it was pretty cool. However, There were a few problems here and there, so I went and fixed some stuff and added some more stuff. Well, here it is. The biggest change from the original is the addition of a new weapon: The Glass Shard Launcher. Also included is a new colormap+playpal to change all the blues to cyan and to make all the greens a bit brighter. ALso, you can think of this as sort of a sneak peek of HELLDOOM, because the Glass Shard Launcher will be present there and the new colormap was copied directly over from HELLDOOM. Also included is a Wad that you'll also want to run if you play this with Zdoom. It makes it look and work better under Zdoom.
This is a story-driven WAD roughly in the vein of H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. Make sure you read the back story at the end of this file as it will enhance your gameplay. This WAD was started in 1995 while I was still in college, then shelved for ten years while I participated in "Real Life". I recently had some free time and, after discovering a number of outstanding DOOM utilities (DoomBuilder is an incredible editor), I decided to part the mothballs and finish the WAD. The original WAD was greatly extended and enhanced, and I'm satisfied with the result. I hope you will be too.
The seven tongues of Satan
Map with hellish/medieval style that consists of 3 large areas connected by teleporters. **There is a way to skip the second area so keep your eyes open! - but you will miss a lot of cool stuff then** This map was NOT built with jumping in mind - so you have been warned if you get stuck somewhere. (There is no way to get stuck without jumping) If you find yourself lost keep an eye open for changes in the architecture! Features ALL available weapons from Doom 2 (lots of ammo included). **I designed this map for playing with jdoom but it runs with zdoom as well (and probably with other source ports)** Will NOT run with vanilla Doom 2
Heretic: Dissonance is a level conjured inside (and out) of a Fortress built at the edge of D'sparil Dimension, You (Corvus) must find away through the treacherous building in hopes to find a switch, or some line segment that will free you from its grasp. Lame Story right? meh.. Its just a level to see if I could still do it, and I can. So I had done some more designing too, such as pixel by pixel sectors to cover the black on the stainglass, and imported monsters and custom hacks but only zdoom supported it ( and some with new doomsday betas ) but i'd prefer a level in which everyone can play by just loading it in their fav source ports. Notes: There are some sprites and stuff that take advantage of Dengine techniques that may not make sense or display a little funky in Zdoom Vavoom or Whatever, but its a Jheretic thing, you Zdoomer's wouldn't understand :) The lights (and time consuming as it was) are sector made for Zdoom and other non-flashy (but always work with anything and everything source ports) that seem trivial in JHeretic, but shows time, dedication, and effort of modern conception of sector based limited lighting, you JHeretic people wouldnt understand :) This Wad may be used in conjunction with any high-res texture packs, however if you use Doomsday 1.8.6, only the high-res flats will show up, don't judge me on that email me: I'd love some comments or whatever, maybe LAN?
