Your mission is to defeat the evil forces and go back to hell again to ask who should pay between administering the Marines or you think accountants hell ... and above all, why the UAC has chosen to build the command on the very top of the mountain most of the world cup... All right, this is a huge, fancy mix of various maps lying on my old, defunct PC, and there was some stuff from: - The ultimate Doom episode 4, I planned to do, here's a part of planned e4m2 - 2 Doom2 demo maps for testing Legacy Engine, here merged in one map (actually, it's the most part of the map) - One level from an abandoned Ultimate Doom project megawad dated 2006 and called "Doom Reprised". Most levels have been ripped off and find their own home in various other projects I've done (Hell Underneath, Bleha 2 updated version episode 5, Earth Base MAP09, Doom 2 Unleashed MAP31, OLD HELL SCRAPER) chopped and mixed with original stuff, and this level (e2m7) follows the fate of the other maps of that project... Anyway, it's that lift maze after the teleport in the cell...
Updated version of White2.wad with some bug fixes such as crashed blue door on map23 in PrBoom+ format. Megawad, based on the results of a four speedmapping contests, held on www.iddqd.ru in 2013, with such themes, as winter, thaw, precipices, and ancient civilizations. Maps were finalized some time later (some - very significantly), and several maps were built from scratch. This megawad tells us the fate of the Marine, who was going to celebrate the New Year. Suddenly, however, the monsters changed seasons' offset, and as a result - they stole the winter. We have to go through the mountains, castles and underground crypts, visit the flooded city, a lonely island and even visit the hell's edge before it will be possible to restore the normal course of the seasons. But monsters were prepared for that as well - and with the return of winter, they prepared some unpleasant surprises...
Khorus is a 9-level wad, in which you should battle against evil in woods and deserts, caves and vaults, the ancient abandoned temples and catacombs of the forgotten civilisation (that has some related roots with the ancient Egypt's one), and all it - while listening to Russian folk music, or later motives close to them (with a possible small exception). You will learn, why nobody likes cyberdemon's voice, also you will take part in the search of our hero's missing red cow, and feel the Mastermind's wrath, who couldn't expect that despite numerous and difficult traps, prepared for you, nevertheless, you'll break into his den to make the court of Doom come true.
The project from iddqd.ru the community, basis of which are maps, made in a speed- mapping course, on which only 4 hours were allowed (each speedmapping contest - 4 hours length). The first speedmapping contest ("Nature"), most maps from which are in this megawad, was in 2008.26.01. The second speedmapping contest ("Hell") has taken place on 2008.02.02. The third ("City") and the fourth ("Boss-level") speed- mapping contests were onto 2009.08.03 and 2009.18.07. Not all maps, made in those contests, are being present in this megawad because of different reasons. Those which are present - they have been re-worked (mostly - correcting bugs and testing the balance of weapons & monsters, the maps` basic geometry and their ideas have remained as they were in the beginning). However, since the end of the last speedmapping contest the maps`quantity was less than 32, community has decided to finish wad in an initiative order - as a result, it has turned out even more, than it was expected (33 maps). New maps were built in a course of various time, however the general rule was not spending more time to build a map than for a week. However, 3 exceptions were made - map 21 (originally built for another project), map 10 & 28 (were made in course of 2 weeks). The general storyline has been developed on a course of unifying all maps into one megawad, however, wad`s story wasn`t meant to be wad`s strongest point - each map can be considered as separate "history", by desire. Certainly, all maps were balanced for completing them "from scratch" and for speedrun.
Megawad, based on "winter" theme from Russian Doom Community. The demons have decided to ruin the winter's fun of Christmas and New Year's celebrations to people, so your task is prove those stupid bastards wrong. The base of this megawad are 12 improved maps (map 01 - map 06, map 08-map 11, map 14, map 16) from speedmapping contests ¹5, which took place on 19.12.2010 on iddqd.ru forum. The rest levels were added some time later, some maps were seriously reworked, and others have been put in wad almost without any changes at all. Have a good game.
