Title : Godless: Megawad (for ZDOOM)
Filename                : GODLESS.WAD
Author : Chris Bilski and Blain Newport
Email Address           : [email protected]
Homepage       	        : http://www.calweb.com/~brn/BCDM/ (needs updating)
Misc. Author Info : They kick ass.
Description : We like 3-4 player fragfests, fast and furious. We like DWELLER and DANZIG and KANDY and GAZZARRI (with a little MANCER and AE_TUPS thrown in to keep things lively). If you're feelin' us, then feel these maps. They range from crazy and fast to seek and destroy. They've got traps for folks trying to get the big guns and lots of neat tricks (instant lifts, teleports, windows to jump out of, etc.) for dazzling your friends with your snappy footwork as you come out of nowhere to lay the smack _down_.

Also, if you're looking for something more team oriented, take a look at MAP33, Godless Tag. (You'll also want to look at http://www.calweb.com/~brn/current/godltag.html to see how to score.) It's fast and furious but with teamwork. (And it now has eight deathmatch starts for 3 on 3 or even 4 on 4 action!) Oh yeah, and NO JUMPING! The map's not designed for it. None of the maps are designed for it, but this one especially because you just jump in the scoring pod and you're done!

Additional Credits to : id, the makers of all the new tools (they rule)

Special thanks go to	: Us! After all this work, we deserve it! ;)

* Play Information *

Game                    : Doom 2
Port : Only tested under ZDoom
Episode and Level #     : MAP01 - MAP33
Single Player : For learning the maps
Cooperative 2-4 Player  : Nope.
Deathmatch 2-8 Player : I believe every level has at least 6 starts, but these maps (as all of our maps) are made with 3-4 players in mind
Difficulty Settings : Not implemented. Play on skill 5 DM 1.0 -nomonsters
New Sounds : A few sounds from our sound wads for color. If you like them, make sure to drop by our web site to pick up the full sets.
New Graphics : Misc. graphics, a few textures
New Music               : No.
Demos Replaced : None since ZDOOM doesn't play them back correctly. (we'll post some to the web site later if anybody actually cares enough to ask for them)

* Construction *

Base : Mostly new levels made from scratch with a few tricks and traps lifted from the id maps, DWELLER, DANZIG, and KANDY levels.
Editor(s) used : DCK (for the maps that were started a long time ago)
			  DoomBuilder (WOO FREAKIN' HOO!)
			  DeuTex (Oh hell yeah!)
			  WinTex (compiling and double checking)
			  GIMP for Windows (Better than warezing PhotoShop!)
Build Time : Lots and lots of hours.
Playtesting : Me and Chris using DOOM connector.
Known Bugs : You can still jump outside of A Ruckus For Romero (MAP21) by riding the lift that blocks the exit. And there's still some texture stuff that drives Chris nuts on Cloud's Rest and Taylor's Techno Death Shack (MAP28 and MAP07 respectively). Also, the texture alignment on Godless Tag was pretty much an afterthought. Meh. GO KILL!

* Extreme Legalese Copyright / Permissions *
================================================================
     These levels are copyright 2004 by Chris Bilski and Blain
     Newport. Permission to use, copy and distribute unedited
     copies of this file -- GODLESS.ZIP -- is hereby granted,
     provided that no fee is charged for the use or availability
     of this file (other than the normal connection costs for
     on-line services, if applicable). The above copyright
     notice and this permission notice must be left intact in
     all copies of this file.

     Commercial distribution of this file, in whole or in part,
     requires prior agreement with the author . Commercial
     distribution includes any means by which the user is
     required to pay either for the support (e.g. book,
     newsletter or CD-ROM) or for the file itself. Unauthorized
     commercial distribution is prohibited.

     If you wish to commercially distribute this file, note the
     following:

     (1) This file contains intellectual property (including,
       but not limited to, textures and other artwork) owned
       solely by Id Software (www.idsoftware.com), and is
       subject to any and all copyrights held by them. The
       author does not have authority or permission, either
       expressed or implied, to grant usage of Id's copyright,
       and, by granting permission to use this level in a
       single commercial release, does not claim or waive their
       rights thereby.

     (2) Permission is granted by the author for the one-time
       commercial distribution of this file if all of the
       following conditions are met:

         (a) The author is notified by email prior to the
           file's inclusion on any commercial release;
         (b) The author is provided with one (1)
           "contributor's copy" of the finished product upon
           it's release. Said "contributor's copy" is to be
           sent to the author using the shipping address
           specified by the author in his/her reply to the
           publisher's initial email notification, and is to be
           provided at no cost to the author;
         (c) This file (including this copyright notice) is
           not to be modified in any way, and shall be
           distributed as the author intended;
         (d) The author retains all relevant and proper
           copyrights to this work both prior to and subsequent
           to the commercial release of this file.

     (3) By requesting a shipping address from the author, the
       publisher signifies acceptance of, and agrees to abide
       by, these conditions. By returning a valid shipping
       address to the publisher, the author thereby grants the
       publisher one-time usage of the author's copyrighted
       work for commercial purposes.

And one more thing, no one who was in any way involved with
selling me the D!ZONE disk set that claimed to include 75
new levels of which over 20 were from registered DOOM and
most of which stank may do _anything_ with these levels.
I don't even want you shysters PLAYING them! Got that?
None of you Actura scum either. Repent while you can.
