I added Player2, Player3, and Player4 starts as needed, but I added no deathmatch starts to those maps that didn't have any. Next, I aligned all the textures. The original mappers didn't have Doom Builder, with its 3D View and Autoalign feature, so they can be excused for not aligning the textures perfectly. In the original MAP01, there was a brilliant system that lets you telefrag the Cyberdemons at the touch of a button, but it doesn't work in coop, so I replaced it with a crusher system. Then, I found and fixed more design features that work fine in single-player, but break a map in coop. For example, some maps had an area that traps the player inside until he fights his way to a switch to open the area up. In coop, if the player dies, nobody could get back into that area, so the map couldn't be finished. I made those areas openable from the outside. Finally, I added sound-blocking lines for when the maps are played wth a mod that strips the monsters of their Deaf (AKA Ambush) flags, to avoid all the monsters in the whole map awakening upon hearing the player's first shot. Also, I added a MAPINFO lump for those ports that support it, so the maps have names, named after their original wad file names. Overall, the maps remain true to the mappers' original vision. These maps should now all work even better in coop, and many also have death match starts placed by the original mappers. - Empyre
